IDENTITY SETUP GUIDE¶

NEW USER SETUP FOR COMPANY AUTHENTICATION¶

1. Navigate to the website: https://login.ovi-gc.com and enter your company email address. Click Next, then type in the password provided during onboarding. This will be your permanent company email address and password.

   

2. Set Up Passwordless Sign-In

   Navigate to the Security tab at the top left of the screen. Select the Passwordless sign-in feature.

   

   Passwordless Sign-In

   Enabling passwordless sign-in enhances your account security by reducing reliance on traditional passwords.

3. Configure Passwordless Authentication

   Press the Set Up button as shown below.

   

4. Scan QR Code

   Open the camera app on your phone and point it at the QR code displayed on the screen. Your phone will read the image and prompt you to open a website by clicking on the link.

   Note

   It is not necessary to take a photo of the QR code; instead, just press the link displayed on your camera screen, and the phone will navigate to the download page for the "Synology Secure Signin" app.

   

   Alternatively, you can browse to the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store and search for the Synology Secure Signin app.

5. Link Your Phone

   Press Next to display the setup code to link your phone.

   

6. Add to Secure Sign In App

   On your phone, open the Secure Sign In app and press the Add button.

   

7. Verify Account Setup

   Your account is set up. To verify your settings, use a fresh web browser, navigate to Office.com, and sign in using your company email address.
